The Urethane Bond is formed when generating the heat of reaction by additional polymerization reaction between alcohol containing the OH radical (-OH) and isocyanate containing the isocyanate group (-N=C=O). (Fig. 1).

The isocyanate containing more than 1 each of isocyanate group (NCO Group) and the alcohol containing more than 1 each of OH radical (-OH) are referred as Polyfunctional. The function group generates a chemically compounded substance with [-NHCoo-]n structure dissipating high temperature heat under the certainly suitable condition, which is called as the urethane bond, and the compound bonded with more than 1,000 molecules is called as polyurethane. (Fig. 2).
